We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer with a strong background in networking solutions and a focus on DevOps. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of HP Aruba, Arista, and Juniper solutions, along with expertise in developing, testing, and implementing IT solutions for development test rigs, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), virtual machine (VM) solutions, and containerized software applications. The candidate will also have experience in infrastructure hardware, administration functions in a virtualized environment, orchestration tools, file systems and storage management, server operating system administration, and cabling/patching. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring technical solutions are compliant with contractual requirements and regulations, as well as creating, maintaining, and controlling design documentation in accordance with company processes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain HP Aruba, Arista, and Juniper network solutions
  • Develop and test IT solutions for development test rigs and VDI solutions
  • Create and optimize virtual machine solutions (e.g., VMware) and manage virtual resources
  • Utilize orchestration tools for automation, scripting, and containerized applications
  • Manage file systems, storage, and server operating systems administration
  • Ensure human-computer interfaces (HCI) meet requirements
  • Oversee cabling/patching, cable management, and patch diagrams
  • Respond to technical queries and perform troubleshooting investigations
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop rectification plans
  • Work effectively in an Agile engineering development environment

Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in networking with a focus on DevOps
  • Strong expertise in HP Aruba, Arista, and Juniper solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT systems in the defense, maritime, or related domains
  • Knowledge of the complete engineering lifecycle with experience operating in various phases
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, ideally Python and PowerShell
  • Experience with infrastructure hardware (physical rack-mounted equipment)
  • Expertise in administration functions within a virtualized environment

Advantageous:

  • Relevant certifications, such as HP Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA), Arista Certified Engineering Associate (ACE-A), or Juniper Networks Certified Associate – Junos (JNCIA-Junos)
  • DevOps experience, including the development and implementation of IT solutions
